My work reveals myself as a human with limits on knowledge, inconsistency in my interests, and hates that I have loved. My works are heavily woven into the activities that I pursue in my everyday life. For example, when I was experimenting with a vegan diet, I made a vegan chicken-shaped cake. When I was interested in baking, I discovered apple leather which became a material for quilting. When I was training in CrossFit, I designed and made a wooden stool for training purposes. Like a diary, my work is an outlet for my thoughts. All the topics, media, and interests seem separate and independent, but be related because of me. In a way, my own routines and interactions are my material.
I am interested in a diverse range of media, including metal, ceramic, fiber, glass, wood, and all edible foods. This gives me a wide range of material selection and endless possibilities.
My practice forces together weird colors, objects like chicken and cake, and materials like apples and yarn. Through my artistic expression, I have the potential to make unimaginable multimedia artwork.
All these contradictions we experience in life, the oddness of putting two things that are not the same together, yet still believing that I am a string that somehow will connect all the mess in one line.
